Cancer is s**t. There is no other word for it. It’s affects are widespread – physical, mental, local, familial. One couldn’t think of something worse. In the Northwest of the UK we are very lucky. We have The Christie Hospital.
The Christie is internationally renowned for cancer treatment, research and education, taking pride in providing the very best care for our patients.
Their staff work to the highest standards, with individuals, teams and The Christie as a whole often being recognised regionally, nationally and internationally for outstanding work and excellence.
They all work together as one team to deliver the highest possible standards of patient care, research and teaching, and as a result, regularly receive awards, accolades and accreditations.
1What to expect
You can read their website – it talks about their awards, their approach to care, all the tangible things that organisations have to be proud about, and talk about to be commercially viable in this world in which we live. But the Christie is more than that. Don’t think of it as a building, don’t think of it as people. To many, including me who lost my mum to cancer it is life itself.
